sweatcation.

Very pumped to share the branding for Sweatcation. I have had so much fun working with the founder, Lauren Ruzicka, on this project. Lauren is passionate about fitness and all things healthy living. Sweatcation is her way to share this passion by informing those who follow the blog/twitter/insta feed about what's hot in the St. Louis fitness world.

Our branding concepts were across the board in the beginning from handwritten to clean and modern. In the end, we nailed it down to this fun and whimsical look. Lauren has been wearing a gold compass necklace over the past few years, which we used as the starting point. Check out the full site here and be sure to follow the feeds to find your next workout!

Cocktails and Clowns 2015

I recently had the pleasure of working with the Young Friends of St. Louis Children's Hospital on the 2015 Cocktails and Clowns event. Here's a look at some of the items I worked on:

The invitations were printed in gold and black on a luxe cream paper, all sealed up in a gold shimmer envelope. The back of the invitation featured a map of the the best of St. Louis, which was the theme for the event.

Gus' Pretzels, Kaldi's Coffee, Jilly's Cupcakes and Imo's Pizza were the featured food stations. My personal fave was the ice cream cone cupcakes at the Jilly's station... you had to be crazy if you didn't love them!

There were SO many great items at the Silent Auction and Raffle tables. Unfortunately I didn't win anything...maybe next year!

And of course I had to give myself a little shout out! A few of these signs were placed around the venue. I had so much fun working with Ashley Stokes and Kelly Glennon, the co-chairs for the event, along with Kathryn Lodes and Lauren Warner from St. Louis Children's Hospital. They made this event perfect!

strong enough for a man.

When it comes to paper, the thicker the better! This stationery suite is for my very stylish friend, George. You can find him any old day dressed to the nines, complete with a pocket square....and now writing his correspondence in chic style.

The envelope liners were inspired by a tie found at Brooks Brothers.

Navy Paper S ource cover stock was duplexed with a white sheet of 120# paper to make these super thick and durable. (Your friendly design tip for the day: Duplexing is the pasting of two sheets together, making one thicker sheet in the end. 120# white + 100# navy = thick!)

oh deer.

Boy oh boy! These navy, mustard yellow and gray baby shower invitations are really unique. The inspiration came from the nursery and I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out.

The long, rectangle shape of the invitation will make these guys stand out in the mail! The Paper Source open ended envelopes gave them a very contemporary feel.

a sweet southern shindig.

I recently had the joy of teaming up with my fave hostess with the mostess, Kim Mower. The soon to be mother of three and I have been planning parties together since the dark ages (aka before Pinterest and Etsy). We recently joined forces again to plan her one year old son's first birthday party. The theme: a sweet southern shindig - where you dress in the latest Vineyard Vines ensemble and eat fried chicken too.

The invites played a BIG part in the event. They were a jumbo ONE in an oversized envelope, complete with monogrammed envelope liners.

The jumbo one motif played throughout the party and welcomed everyone to Mower Manor.

The place settings were decked out with custom plates, napkin wraps, monogrammed cups and oh-so-cute wooden utensils.

I don't know what it is about wooden utensils but they really up the ante of a party!
